Application Instructions

For a premium, long-lasting finish, follow this step-by-step application workflow detailed in Screenshot 2026-06-23 at 10.32.57 AM.jpg:

1. Surface Preparation

• Pre-polished Wood: Completely remove all existing coatings by sanding or scraping.

• New Wood: Sand the wooden surface smooth using Emery Paper #180, followed by #320.

• Wipe off all loose dust particles. If needed, remove remaining dust and grease using a clean cloth soaked in Sheenlac D-13x NC Thinner.

2. Undercoat (Pore Filling)

• Apply Sheenlac NC Wood Filler using a putty knife or muslin cloth to fill pores.

• Remove any excess coating immediately.

• Allow it to dry for 1 hour, then sand the coat down smoothly with Emery Paper #240. (Staining is optional after this step).

3. Sealing (Applying Sanding Sealer-X)

• Apply Sheenlac NC Sanding Sealer to seal the prepared surface.

• Dilution Ratios:

• For Padding: Thin the sealer 1:1 with Sheenlac NC Thinner D-13x.

• For Spraying: Thin the sealer 1:1.5 with Sheenlac NC Thinner D-13x.

• Allow 1 hour of drying time between successive coats.

• Scrub gently with Emery Paper #240 or #320 between coats. Apply a minimum of 3 coats for optimal sealing performance.

4. Topcoat Finishing

• After sealing is complete, proceed to your topcoat finish:

• For N.C. Clear Glossy/Matt: Thin with NC Thinner SP-58 at a 1 : 0.5 ratio. Apply a minimum of 2 coats by spray (allow 2 hours between coats). Use Emery Paper #400/600 between layers.

• For 1K Acrylic Clear Matt/Glossy: Apply 3 coats of Matt directly on filled wood, or 2 coats of Acrylic Matt + 2 coats of Glossy. Dilute using 50% Sheenlac NC Thinner SP-58.
