Recommended Applications & Methods

1. Surface Preparation

  • Mechanically clean the target concrete or masonry surface to remove all loose particles, structural dust, dirt, oil, and grease.

  • Vacuum clean thoroughly to completely remove any remaining loose debris.

2. Application Workflows & Coverage Metrics

A. As an Economical Waterproofing Coating
  • Mixing Ratio: Mix Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP with fresh cement in a uniform 1:1.5 ratio by volume.

  • Application: Apply evenly in 2 coats over the surface. Note that a protective plaster screed is a mandatory layout requirement over this coating.

  • Coverage: Delivers a yield of 2 - 2.2 m²/kg across 2 coats.

B. As a Repair Mortar Modifier
  • Mixing Ratio: Blend Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP at a dosage of 10%–15% by weight of cement into a standard 1:3 (cement to fine sand) mix. Add approximately 20% water by weight of cement to adjust to a workable consistency.

  • Coverage / Dosage: Requires roughly 6–7.5 kg of Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP per 50 kg bag of cement.

C. As a Screed Concrete Modifier
  • Mixing Ratio: Add 10%–15% by weight of cement to a screed concrete mix designed in a proportion of 1:1.5:1.5 (cement : sand : 6mm aggregate), alongside 20% water by weight of cement. Mix to a uniform consistency.

D. As a Bond Coat in Repair Work
  • Mixing Ratio: Mix Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP with fresh cement in a tight 1:1 ratio by volume.

  • Application: Apply directly onto the pre-wetted, damp substrate. Overlay your fresh repair mortar or concrete while this bond coat is still tacky or sticky to the touch.

  • Coverage: Delivers a high yield of 4.2 - 4.5 m²/kg per single coat.
