Application Instructions

For a professional, long-lasting finish, follow these critical instructions outlined on the product packaging:

1. Surface Cleaning

• Ensure the target substrate is completely free from dust, dirt, grease, and loose particles.

• Thoroughly clean the area using sandpaper, a putty blade, or a wire brush before starting.

2. Mixing & Paste Preparation

• Mix Ratio: Mix WallCare Putty slowly with 30%–35% clean water to make a uniform, lump-free paste.

• Crucial Step: Always add the putty powder to the water and mix thoroughly (preferably using a mechanical mixer) for best consistency.

• Only mix a quantity that can be fully used within 2 to 3 hours of adding water. Do not retemper or add any foreign materials to the mix.

3. Putty Application

• Pre-wetting: Evenly dampen/moisten the wall surface with clean water prior to application to maximize bond strength and coverage.

• First Coat: Apply a thin layer of the mixed putty paste smoothly using a trowel or putty blade in a bottom-to-upward direction to prevent unnecessary wastage.

• Between Coats: After the first coat has dried completely (minimum 3 hours), rub the surface very gently with a wet sponge or the flat side of a putty blade to remove any loose particles.

• Second Coat: Apply the second coat uniformly and let the surface dry completely—preferably overnight or for 10–12 hours.

4. Important Do's and Don'ts

• Total Thickness: Keep the combined thickness of both coats limited to a maximum of 1.5 mm.

• Do Not Harshly Rub: It is recommended not to scratch or rub the finished WallCare Putty layer heavily with rough emery paper, as doing so breaks the uniform protective polymer film and lowers its water-resistant traits.

• Efflorescence Treatment: If the wall masonry exhibits heavy efflorescence, treat the substrate before applying the putty to secure a lasting bond.
