Product Specifications

1. Surface Preparation

• Ensure the target metal surface is completely free from oil, grease, or moisture by cleaning thoroughly with an appropriate solvent and drying completely.

• Remove any existing rust or loose scales using a wire brush or mechanical sanding.

• For minimally corroded substrates, sanding down thoroughly with Emery Paper No. 180 is sufficient. Wipe off all loose dust particles before priming.

2. Undercoating & Patch Filling (Optional)

• Minor surface imperfections or unevenness on flat metal surfaces can be filled using a thin layer of Asian Paints Knifing Paste Filler.

• For deeper gouges, use Asian Paints Metal Paste Filler, followed by an additional spot coat of primer over the filled area before full-surface priming.

3. Primer Application

• Stir and strain the primer well before use to ensure a uniform mixture.

• Apply 2 coats of TruCare Yellow Metal PU Primer to achieve the recommended protective film thickness.

• Drying Time: Allow 8 hours of drying time between the first and second coats.

4. Dilution Ratios (using Mineral Turpentine Oil)

• Brush Application: Dilute with 6%–8% MTO by volume.

• Spray Application: Dilute with 8%–10% MTO by volume.

Storage & Safety Guidelines

• Flammability: Flammable liquid. Keep container tightly sealed when not in use to prevent drying out. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and children.

• Ventilation: Ensure excellent structural ventilation is maintained during the mixing and painting workflow.
